Sigma 55-200 or 70-300?—by pinback13
Both of these lenses are on sale for the same price at my local camera shop. These are not the APO lenses but the lower quality ones. Has any body owned these lenses or knows for which one i’ll get the most bang for my buck in image quality. I would say the miniDV tape based cams. They do not push you into highly compressed AVCHD (HDV compression is a LOT less than AVCHD and compressed video = lost data - reduced video quality).

I bought a Canon Powershot A570 IS last night from Amazon. The camera got excellent reviews, it has manual controls as well as numerous scene modes. It has an optical viewfinder.
