Help On Digital Cameras

Which brand are the best for camera? Canon or Samsung?

I’d say theres no such thing as a best brand. The best camera is the one that is most useful and good to use to you. The major japanese manufacturers are Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic. Other good brands include Leica and Kodak. Japanese cameras are much more popular because of their affordability and practical features.

This is my opinion of the brands:
Canon - Market leader, great expertise, many models to choose from.
Nikon - Very great expertise as well. A little pricey but usually better built than Canons.
Sony - Expensive. Stylish cameras that take pretty good pictures. Not the best value for the value conscious. Uses prestigious Carl Zeiss lenses.
Pentax - Traditional camera maker. Love them alot, or hate them alot. I’m a Pentax user. The best value ever.
Fujifilm - A very strong brand. They make extremely good higher end cameras.
Olympus - Probably one the youngest of all these brands, yet very powerful in the market. Waterproof cameras and lightweight DSLR systems are pretty good.
Panasonic - Makes cameras for Leica. Higher end models offer a Leica branded lens. Pricey, just like Sony.

It all boils down to what you need and which camera feels better to use in your hands.
